The beauty of the Scottish Highlands
Situated in the north of the Cairngorm National Park on the east side of the Spey Valley, Strathspey Holiday Homes offer two self-catering properties, located on a working family farm.
Both properties benefit from the private location of the farm, which covers the entire area of a small glen. This extends from heather clad hills, down through broad moorland, to wildlife rich birch wood and ancient Scots pine forest. The landscape finally opens out onto rolling farmland following the meandering path of the Auchernack Burn to the point where it joins the River Spey.
Red Squirrels, Otters, Pine Martins and Golden Eagles
The
properties are a delight for anyone who loves the outdoors or craves peace
and quiet. Visitors are welcome to explore the farm and make full use of footpaths
and tracks which are very popular with birdwatchers. The farm, noted for its
wetland bird population, is regularly frequented by Roe and Red Deer, Red Squirrels
and the occasional Otter and Pine Martin. If you love the outdoors the Spey
Valley has much to offer with beautiful scenery, visitor attractions to suit
all ages and endless sporting activities.
Golfers
are particularly well catered for with six courses within easy reach and fishers
are less than ten minutes walk from the Spey. The many castles, lochs and distilleries
in the area add to the attraction of this tranquil part of the Highlands.
